The weeds have completely taken over and the battle is lost
If you want to grow any crop you have to control the weeds — whether it is potatoes, carrots, corn, strawberries, or whatever. If you are going to have a garden you have deal with the weeds. Usually you spend a lot of time and energy dealing with newly growing weeds by hoeing, cultivating, or pulling them out. Otherwise the weeds will simply take over and overcome and ruin your crop. It is inevitable. You can’t get away from it.
If you are going to have a good society you are going to have to figure out how to control the weeds. When I left my sheltered days of childhood on our farm where I attended a small one room country school and went to church three times a week and started attending the 1000 student high school in a neighboring town I met the real world for the first time. I soon discovered that everyone didn’t have the narrow, sheltered outlooks I had. My world was a Christian world and the larger world wasn’t. It contained many weeds of atheism, agnosticism, skepticism, and liberal secular humanism and Christian views were challenged. This was in the early 1950's. And I can definitely say that all those weeds of evil have been growing higher and higher and more and more rampant and with each passing year since then. They have finally crowded out everything else. First it was Elvis Presley in the 1950's. Then came the Hippie Movement in the 1960's and 1970's with all of its drugs, free love, and moral depravity. And then, after that, came that long, remarkably smooth and well coordinated campaign to legitimize, promote, and glamorize homosexuality — a great, very well orchestrated propaganda effort by all elements of the mass media and government that continues to the present day. We were told that the homosexuals were born that way, they weren’t at fault for the way they were, and that it was morally wrong to regard their behavior as wrong. Anyone who believed homosexuality was wrong was labeled a hater, a bad person. That message came from every direction and the Biblical view that homosexuality was wrong became socially unacceptable. This was all occurring in America and I am guessing that the same thing was also occurring at the same time in Europe. Just what the origins of it were I am not sure but I suspect the field of psychology and suspect the universities of England as being a chief fountainhead.
I think now that the entire progression could almost have been predicted. Without a mechanism for removing the weeds the final outcome was quite predictable. Now it is not just the fundamentals of Christianity that are being challenged but everything that older generations of Americans have always believed in. The modern leftist liberals have taken control of our universities and it is now all “out with the old and in with the new”. The new Left is trying to replace everything I believe in ranging from my Christian outlook to the political system.
What can a God-fearing, Bible believing Christian do about all of this? The only thing I can think of is my idea of the Christian Brotherhood. See Christian Brotherhood. I simply dismiss this society as lost. Liberalism is so entrenched in our society that the only thing that could change the present course is a revolution. The new generation is all weeds and the old generation is dying out. The Bible teaches that Satan rules the world. I have seen proof that it is true.

What has been the consequence of this great modern takeover of the western world by the godless Left? What kind of social sicknesses and diseases has it brought with it?
Consider the depth and breadth of the drug problem that has infected the towns, cities, and rural areas not just all across America but across all of the countries of the English speaking world and, indeed, all the European countries — all countries of the western world — and even islands of the Pacific like Fiji. Consider all personal trauma associated with each individual case of drug addiction. Consider all of the murders and crime and social dysfunction caused by society’s demand for drugs due to drug traffickers. Drug usage underlies and is responsible for drug trafficking.
Consider the gigantic homeless problem that one finds in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, New York, Philadelphia — cities across the country — where drug dazed people stagger about on long stretches of sidewalks that are strewn with sleeping bags, tents, trash, hypodermic needles, human feces and filth. How do you help these people? How do you help the alcoholic on Skid Row in Chicago? How easy is it to help him? Sometimes it is only us who can help ourselves. There are some things that only we can do. There are some bogs in life that are not easily gotten out of.
These are all signs of deep spiritual sickness. The root of it all is alcohol, drugs and social dysfunction.
And consider all of the crime that all of this has brought. Drug addicts commit crime (and a lot of it) to support their habits.
Consider all of the alcoholism that infests countries everywhere around the world and all the social pathologies it engenders. Mankind has habits that cause him much trouble.
Consider the state of marriage in the western world. Everyone is cohabiting. No one gets married. Everyone lives in fornication. The most of the children born are illegitimate products of fornication. Having an illegitimate child is a crime against the child. Every child deserves to be legitimate. Every child should have a father. Single parent households is a prime reason there is so much crime in our society. The childhood years are the formative years of a child’s life. It is in these years that a child’s character is being formed. I believe that the years from age 1 to 14 are by far the most important years of a person’s life. It is as if a person lives an entire lifetime in just these years. I think far more of great consequence happens in these childhood years than happens in all the rest of a person’s life. It is in these years that a person needs to understand the importance of honesty, integrity, goodness, morality, and virtue in this life. I remember when I was young it seemed like the process of growing up lasted forever. I am very thankful that I had a religious, Bible-believing mother that made sure we went to church every Sunday. I am thankful I was raised on a farm. I believe that the farm is the best environment for a child growing up.

And it’s not just a biological virus. It is a spiritual and social virus that is destroying, really destroying a generation.”
So many people get off to a bad start from the earliest age. And as the years pass temptations and the crowd pull them off right paths and into all kinds of wrong paths. The world is so full of badness and foolishness that without a solid foundation it is easy to get drawn into wrong ways.
Our societies are swimming in pornography. What kind of children do you think are going to come from this kind of situation? The schools are teaching the youngest children all about homosexuality and that it is just fine. Our children are being morally twisted from the youngest age. The situation is obscene.
The modern West is sick. Sick! Sick! Do you think people are happy? No, they are not happy. The modern West has a spiritual problem. A very deep and profound spiritual problem.
And all our mass media spew forth the values, outlooks and attitudes that are responsible for it all.
For years now the mass media has been projecting attitudes and outlooks in which people who refuse to accept homosexuality (like Christians) are portrayed as evil and those who accept and practice homosexuality as good. Ideas have consequences. The masses are gullible, and the mass media have tremendous power to transform the minds of men.
