Television

Hour after hour television depicts promiscuity, adultery and
illicit sex as the leading recreation of the day. It
glamorizes it, romanticizes it, and makes it out as the main
object and purpose of life. Day after day, week after week,
month after month, year after year Americans are fed this daily
diet with little variation and little in addition. Does
television program people? What do you think? In what way do
you think it programs them? Does it alter their values and
moral outlooks? In what way? Does it create certain types of
fantasies, desires and expectations? What kinds?
