We are our habits

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act,
   but a habit.
                                                  Aristotle

To paraphrase then: we are our habits (our habits define us)
and excellence of character is a matter of habits (it is having
good habits and not having bad ones). Isn't this true? What
are the good habits that make for good character? (How about
honesty, justness, perseverance, diligence to name a few).
What are the bad habits that make for bad character? (How about
the opposites of the above --- dishonesty, unjustness, lack of
   perseverance, laziness, etc).

Isn't our attitude and approach to life, our basic mind-set,
just a matter of habit? Whether we are cautious or rash,
rational or emotional, careful or careless --- isn't it all
   just a matter of habit?
