Self-imposed discipline and regimentation

   I believe in self-imposed discipline and regimentation.  I 
   emphasize the "self-imposed" part since discipline and 
   regimentation imposed by others can lead to resistance and 
   rebellion (at least it can for me) and so I feel that by far 
   the best type is the self-imposed type.  Just as the ancient 
   Greeks and Romans emphasized self-discipline so I also do.  You 
   can impose discipline upon yourself in many ways.  One example 
   is leading a life of moral principle.  That is a kind of self-
   imposed discipline.
