People put themselves on a treadmill
People put themselves on a treadmill. They buy a big beautiful
house an hour's drive from where they work and spend two hours
out of every day driving to and from work. They buy a house
with a gigantic lawn that takes four hours to mow and spend
most of what could be their free time mowing their lawn. They
buy a mansion of a house that costs a fortune to furnish,
decorate, heat and air condition and a fancy new motor vehicle
that depreciates $8000 during the first year of ownership and
then slave away to make the payments on all the loans and
bills. My philosophy: Travel light. Carry a light load.
Require little. Be content with little. Live simply. Pay
cash, don't borrow. Save your money, don't squander it.
