We are continually surrounded by temptation to do that which is harmful to us

   Consider all the messages continually bombarding us, tempting 
   us to eat junk food.  There are vending machines wherever we go 
   loaded with candy, cake, potato chips, corn chips and soda.  
   There are fast food places such as Wendy's, Kentucky Fried 
   Chicken, Hardie's and MacDonalds on every corner.  
   Advertisements with their tempting pictures which seem to say 
   "I am good!  Try me!" are forever in front of our eyes.  
   Temptation to do what is actually harmful and destructive to us 
   faces us at every turn.  Lying forces are everywhere attempting 
   to pull us into our own destruction.  

   Just as we are being continually bombarded by messages that 
   tempt us to do that which is physically harmful and destructive 
   to us even so we are also being continually bombarded by 
   messages that tempt us to do that which is spiritually and 
   morally destructive to us  i.e. all of the lustful, lascivious 
   messages that are everywhere around us in TV ads, magazines, 
   books and movies glamorizing illicit sex.
