Bad habits are passed from father to son and from son to grandson

Bad habits are passed on from father to son. "The sin of the
parents is visited upon the children to the third and fourth
generation." Bad habit patterns of the parents are assimilated
by the children, communicated to them like a communicable
disease; and then again passed on, from child to grandchild,
forming an endless chain. What kind of bad habits? All kinds.
Heavy drinking, swearing, indecency, arguing, overeating,
spitefulness, abuse, malice, etc.. How does one break out of
the chain? How does one break habit patterns impressed into
your mind from childhood? By quiet reflection, self-
examination and thought. By musing over questions of good and
bad habits, conduct, values and priorities. By searching for
   spiritual truth.
