How to become a Christian

For one who really knows the Bible it is obvious that the vast majority of people in America are not Christians. (The same is true for the vast majority of the people in every country of the world.) America is a highly promiscuous, immoral, wicked country and true Christianity is a highly moral way of life. True Christianity is a way followed by only a select few. How does a person get into that elite club of the “true Christian”? Well, first one makes a definite personal commitment to forsake the way of the world, the way of sin, the way of Satan, and to follow God’s way, the way taught by Jesus, the way of true Christianity. One rejects the way of the Crowd and follows the Way of Goodness and Truth. That is Step 1. The second step consists of a lot of heavy reading of the Bible, a serious study of scripture, memorizing scripture. A good knowledge of scripture is fundamental in becoming a real Christian. Knowledge of God’s word is fundamental to being a Christian. As we study scripture with serious intent of being obedient to it, we change. Real seriousness is required to become a real Christian. Becoming a Christian requires real honesty, real seriousness, and real effort. Lazy, silly, superficial people don’t become real Christians. You don’t become a real Christian by just following some simple rites or attending some church. Becoming a real Christian involves orienting our views and values to those of the Bible and following them in our daily life. Becoming a real Christian involves accepting the authority of God’s word and taking it seriously. If we don’t accept the authority of the Bible we can’t become a real Christian.
