Root and source of my dislike of modern liberalism
I regard America as degenerate and sick. I am very
pessimistic, see no hope for reform or change, and see nothing
but gloom in the future. My view of modern western society, in
general, is the same. I see it all as sick and degenerate.
Why? Other people might hold these very same pessimistic views
toward America (or all of western society) and yet for totally
different reasons than I (they might, for example, feel this
way because of a prejudice against capitalism or big business).
So what is the root and source of my gloomy outlook? It comes
down to the moral permissiveness. And who do I blame for this?
Modern liberalism and intellectualism.
I have a strong dislike of modern intellectualism and
liberalism. Why? What are the roots of those feelings? I
feel the liberals are either agnostic or atheistic in their
basic outlooks and beliefs or, at best, deny the basic
teachings of the Bible. Their liberal outlook is intricately
intertwined with moral relativism. And moral relativism leads
directly to moral permissiveness. These liberals have had a
pervasive influence on the society and that influence has
produced what we have today: an anti-Puritan, anti-Victorian
society, contemptuous of the strict moral standards of true
Christianity, and antagonistic towards all that I am.
