On homosexuality

God is generally restrained in dealing with the wicked. He is

long-suffering and patient. He is slow to anger. He "sends

his rain on the just and the unjust". He lets the tares grow

with the wheat until the day of harvest when they will be

separated. However, the Bible does record instances when sin

on the earth was so gross and shocking that God was not able to

contain his anger. One of the most notable instances of this

concerned two cities --- Sodom and Gomorrah. He was so

outraged over the grossness and shocking nature of their sin

that he utterly destroyed them with fire and brimstone rained

down from heaven. What was this sin that so outraged him?

Homosexuality. See Genesis 18:20-33; 19:1-28.

There is no sin that the Bible talks about nearly as much or as

strongly as homosexuality. Not murder. Not theft. Not adultery.

Not any other sin. The Bible represents homosexuality as a sin

of a much higher order than other sins. Nowhere in the Bible

do you see this harshness of language for any other sin. The

Bible makes numerous references to Sodom and Gomorrah and the

references are all allusions to that great sin: homosexuality.

God's action against those cities on the plain of Sodom and

Gomorrah speaks far better than any words could of what he

thinks about homosexual conduct.

Today homosexuality is rampant in our land. And our government

not only condones it but supports the homosexuals in their

demands for acceptance. Even our school children are being

taught that homosexuality is OK and acceptable; that they

should accept it as just another way, a way equally as good and

right as heterosexuality.

Homosexuality is grossly immoral; it is wickedness of the

highest order. It is behavior to shock and outrage any

decent, right-thinking person.

To me I live in a topsy-turvy, Alice-in-Wonderland society, a

society gone crazy, a society that has lost its reason, its

sense, its knowledge of right and wrong. It is a society where

good, decent people are vilified by tagging them as bigots and

evil, wicked people are glamorized and set up as models, a

society where Wickedness is exalted and Goodness is trampled.

It is a society where there has occurred a terrible

transposition --- where right is wrong and wrong is right.

Isa. 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil; that

put darkness for light and light for darkness; that put bitter for

sweet and sweet for bitter! Isa. 5:20

Isa 3:9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them;

and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto

their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. (10) Say

ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they

shall eat the fruit of their doings. (11) Woe unto the wicked!

it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be

given him.

When God gave his commandments to the Children of Israel his

position on homosexuality was crystal clear:

Lev 18:22,24 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It

is an abomination. Do not defile yourselves with any of these

things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am

casting out before you.

Lev 20:13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman,

both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely

be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.

The attitude of Christianity is the same as that of the Old

Testament, completely unequivocal on the subject:

Rom 1:26-28 For this cause God gave them up unto vile

affections: for even their women did change the natural use

into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men,

leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one

toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly,

and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error

which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in

their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do

those things which are not convenient;

Jude 7 ... as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them

in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to

sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth

as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

1 Cor 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not

inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither

fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,

nor sodomites, {10} nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards,

nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

In the Bible homosexuality is not just another sin. It holds a

special place among sins. It is a sin of sins, a sin dwarfing

other sins in its grossness, its depth of moral depravity, its

wickedness. So how did we get to where we are today, where a

sin so gross as homosexuality is accepted by so many people as

OK, as just another lifestyle, equally as valid as the

heterosexual lifestyle? Well, we can thank the psychiatrists

and psychologists for that. An association of psychiatrists or

psychologists determined several decades ago that homosexuality

was something a person was born with, something they couldn't

help. Some people, they said, were just born with a homosexual

orientation or inclination while others weren't. That suddenly

became their position on the subject (a determination perhaps

influenced by prominant homosexual researchers --- Alfred

Kinsey was a homosexual, as have been a number of researchers).

So immediately the following question arises: Can we consider

homosexual conduct a sin if some people are born with a

homosexual inclination while others aren't? Going from there,

the Bible has been considered discredited and people conclude

there is nothing wrong with homosexuality, its conduct or

lifestyle. The Bible has again been discredited by "science".

Science is king in our modern world. We are now in the

enlightened age. Well, I don't accept their premise that some

people are just born that way and others aren't. I suspect

everyone may be born with homosexual potential and that

homosexuality is just like other sins, people are enticed into

it in some way, introduced into it, and then find themselves

caught in a trap from which they are unable to extract

themselves (like a fly caught in a spider's web). They may

indeed have trouble getting out of the trap, but that doesn't

mean they were born homosexuals. We live in a world of Satanic

lie, of high deceit and deception, of gross dishonesty. The

Devil has the masses fooled in every way, all the time. He and

his helpers, that is. So now school children are being

indoctrinated by our society, being told that homosexuality is

just another lifestyle and should be accepted. The homosexuals

and atheists have a lot of power and influence in our society,

especially through organizations such as the ACLU and various

homosexual organizations. They are pushing their agendas

everywhere. They hate the Bible and Christianity with a

passion. They have government, the mass media, liberal

religion, the educational system, etc. all on their side.

Corporations are joining in droves. So now the homosexuals

have turned the tables on the Christian. The Christian is now

a bigot and a bad person, someone to be despised. Everywhere

laws are being made intended to intimidate and silence him. A

Christian dare not speak the truth for fear of being kicked out

of school or losing his job. To tell the truth about

homosexuality is hate speach. To quote scripture on

homosexuality is hate speach. To not accept homosexuality and

its lifestyle is hateful and unacceptable. There is a whole

lot of anti-Christian climate in this country. Especially in

our educational system. They are working on our youth. Very

sad. Now Satan owns the roost. You live by his rules.

The wicked plots against the just,

And gnashes at him with his teeth.

Psalm 37:12

We live in a land of liberty and freedom. Freedom for the

godless, immoral and wicked, that is. Freedom to celebrate

every kind of depraved, degenerate conduct. Freedom for the

wicked to say whatever they wish. Freedom for the wicked to be

as wicked as they wish. Consider the depths of depravity of

what is now being shown on television. Every year the limits

are pushed further and further. A step at a time, step by

step, the public is desensitized and conditioned towards deeper

and deeper depravity. There is no end. It is a bottomless

abyss. The freedom for the wicked is unlimited. But it is a

one way street. For the good and moral it is another story.

They keep their mouths shut if they don't want to be sued,

kicked out of school or be fired from their jobs. Their

opinion isn't wanted. They dare not say what they think or

feel. It is just the way the laws are written. For some

reason the laws always seem to favor the wicked. And if it is

not the laws coming out of Congress, it is our constitution.

The constitution always seems to be on the side of the wicked.

And the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) is always right

there to protect all the rights of the wicked.

Do you know what this reminds me of? It all reminds me of the

story in Genesis about that righteous man Lot living in the

city of Sodom. It was a rich, wealthy city and Lot chose to

live there because he liked the easy city life. He lived

there, observed all their depravity, and kept his mouth shut.

If a person doesn't approve of homosexuality the left labels

him as homophobic. (If I don't approve of murder is it fair

to call me a hater? Because I condemn murder doesn't mean I

hate murderers.)

Today there are countries, Canada for instance, that have "hate

speech" laws and where simply to quote passages from the Bible on

the topic of homosexuality is a national crime with severe

penalty. Quoting the Bible on the topic of homosexuality is

legally interpreted as constituting "hate speech", thus

intimidating and silencing the Christian. This is liberalism,

progressiveism at its best. I believe this is America's future.

I think it lies just a little bit down the road.

They are after our children. I have no children. I am very

happy about that.

Addendum, 17 July 2010

The following news article just appeared on the internet. It

is about a controversy that has been in the national news for

the last couple of days.

Mont. sex-ed controversy could open parents' eyes

HELENA, Mont. (BP)--A controversy over proposed sex-ed

curriculum in Helena, Mont., for students as young as

kindergarten should lead parents elsewhere to be more in tune

with what their schools are teaching, an expert on the topic

says.

The proposal, which has drawn nationwide attention, attracted

an overflow crowd at the Helena School Board Meeting July 14,

when more than 300 people attended, although the board had time

to hear from only 64. It could take a vote next month on

whether to approve the curriculum.

Among the more controversial elements, the proposal says

kindergarteners would learn the "basic reproductive body parts

(penis, vagina, breast, nipples, testicles, scrotum, uterus)"

and first-graders would learn "human beings can love people of

the same gender & people of another gender." Fifth-graders

would learn that "sexual intercourse includes but is not

limited to vaginal, oral, or anal penetration" and seventh-

graders would learn about Supreme Court opinions on abortion

and "reproductive health."

It's at least the second controversy over public school sex-ed

in recent weeks that has made the national news. In June the

school board of Provincetown, Mass., adopted a policy to make

condoms available to all students -- without parental consent -

- and did not set an age or grade limit. Several weeks later

the board amended the policy so that it's "age-appropriate" and

dependent on "specific circumstances," although parents still

will not be notified.

Chad Hills, an analyst for sexual health with CitizenLink, an

arm of Focus on the Family, said parents in both communities

have plenty of reasons to be upset.

"Parents are the primary teachers of sexuality to their

children," Hills told Baptist Press. "This is not an issue that

is without morals, without values. This issue is highly

specific to families, and it's not the school's place to impart

values and morals to the children. It's the parents' place to

do that. The school is there to educate them in English, math.

Parents should be outraged."

Hills added, "Parents should be neck-deep in what their schools

are teaching their kids, especially in science class or

physical education class, where sex-education is typically

taught. Parents need to attend board meetings. Parents need to

be involved in local elections of the offices within their

schools."

Among the other controversial elements of the Helen, Mont.,

policy:

-- Kindergarteners would learn "a baby grows in a woman's

uterus."

-- Third-graders would learn "the ovary produces eggs and the

testicles produce sperm."

-- Fifth-graders would learn that "sexual orientation refers to

a person's physical and/or romantic attraction to an individual

of the same and/or different gender, and is one part of one's

personality."

-- Sixth-graders would learn that "the penis, fingers, tongue

or objects" can be used in sex. They would also learn that

"gender identity is different from sexual orientation."

-- Beginning with seventh-graders, students would discuss

Supreme Court decisions that have given people "the right to

make personal decisions concerning sexuality & reproductive

health matters, such as abortion, sterilization, and

contraception."

-- Ninth-graders would begin learning that "erotic images in

art reflect society's views about sexuality & help people

understand sexuality."

Parents would have the opportunity to opt out of the

curriculum, but some parents say that's not sufficient.

"Much of this information is weaved into curriculums other than

sexual [education]," Mikal Wilkerson, a parent who attended the

board meeting, said on FoxNews' "Hannity" program. "So even if

I opt my child out of the sexual [education], they will still

receive much of this information in other curriculums. In

addition, if my child goes out to recess, you know they're

going to hear it from the kids. Now it's even in a different

context."

The sex-ed curriculum, Wilkerson said, puts the child "in the

middle" of the controversy.

"The school teaches one set of values," she said. "I teach

another set of values. And now the kid's stuck right at the

middle. And it undermines the authority of both the parent and

the teacher in the school."

Supporters of the curriculum say it is needed because children

and young teens already are having sex. It will help cut down

on teen pregnancy and STDs, they say. Hills, of CitizenLink,

says supporters are off the mark.

"My answer for that is that the school nurse should not be

handing out condoms," Hills said. "Instead, the school nurse

should be sitting down with these kids, in the same room with

their guardian or their parent, and saying, 'Look, this is not

a healthy direction for you to be traveling. Here are the

potential outcomes if this behavior continues in your life.'"

A handful of organizations, Hills said, are promoting similar

sex-ed program nationwide. Among them are Planned Parenthood,

SIECUS (Sexuality Information and Education Council of the

United States) and Advocates for Youth (AFY). The controversy

will be "coming down the pike" in a "lot more states," he said.

"There's such a thing as awakening passions before their time,"

Hills said. "This is exactly what these types of groups do,

because they're focusing on sexuality. Many teens are pursuing

sex instead of relationships. And a lot of the college students

are beginning to rebel against that because they're saying,

'There is no lasting satisfaction in that. There's only

temporary pleasure and there's this hollow emptiness left

inside of me after that experience.'

"What they're beginning to realize -- without even being told

this -- is that sex has context, and that context is within the

stable lifelong commitment of marriage between one man and one

woman, the way God designed it to be."

The supporters of the above proposal say, "This is about truth

and reality so the kids don't grow up in La-La Land." I ask,

"What is this La-La Land they speak of?" It is Christian

morality. It is Christian outlook, values and standards. What

is this "truth and reality" they speak of? Their truth and

reality is uninhibited sex of every type, shape and form ---

same sex relationships, multi-partner sex, whatever. It is

what a Christian would view as animal depravity of the grossest

type. It is human nature at its very lowest.

A pro-homosexual, anti-Christian, liberal, intellectual elite

is trying to force its outlooks, attitudes, values and ways on

America. An elite clique graduated from our elite schools and

universities is trying to replace Christianity with its own

"higher" morality (a moral outlook that is really nothing more

than an elaborate rationalization for gross immorality and not

holding up to very high standards of logic). It pushes an

agenda aimed at reshaping modern society into its own outlooks

and values, of re-engineering America into its own image. And

slowly, set by step, it is succeeding. People complain and

object, but then they give up and accept it. Under constant

bombardment of moral lie, the masses finally follow like sheep.

A new religion is being preached and the masses slowly follow.

You never hear a congressman or person of high position

criticizing homosexuality. No official in a high position ever

speaks against it. It is just not socially nor politically

acceptable to do it. That is the reality. Even if people view

it as wrong, they don't have the courage to speak up. They

have been cowed into silence. No one wants to be labeled a

bigot or a radical.

Today homosexual "couples" are being allowed to adopt children.

How shocking! What has this society come to? What an unspeakable

crime is being committed against these innocent children! The

children are being sold to Satan himself!

For many years now the liberal Left in my country has been trying to force

people to accept homosexuality. No one dare speak a word against it. If

you do you are called an evil person, a hater. Does that make me angry? Yes,

it makes me very angry. I have been reading the Bible since I was 9 years

old. It has been absolutely clear to me what the Biblical attitude on

homosexuality is from my early youth. This fact alone is sufficient to

make me a hater of the Left.

The Left’s promotion of homosexuality represents a deliberate, direct challenge

to the Bible and Christianity. It represents an obscene finger raised to the face

of the Most High God. Will it get away with this? I don’t think so. It will get

its answer in the life that follows this.
