What I believe
I tend to be very critical of essentially all the Christianity
that I see around me. I have not found a denomination that I
can endorse. My criticism of a large portion of Christianity
is that it is all talk and no do. It is all doctrine and
theory and no practice. It is all hype, self-deception and
self-delusion. I believe that practice is the heart and core
of true Christianity. It is where the reality and truth of it
is. For me, to be a true Christian you must be an honest,
upright, God-fearing person. If you think you are a Christian
but lie and cheat you are deceiving yourself. If you regard
yourself as a Christian but don't lead a chaste, moral life you
are deceiving yourself. Being a Christian involves leading a
good, principled, virtuous life in faithfulness to the Most
High God. It requires self-denial and self-discipline. It is
not obtained by going through some simplistic ritual. It is a
way of life.
