An attitude of neutrality

   One big asset in this life is a certain attitude, an attitude 
   of neutrality, impartiality, objectivity towards things.  It is 
   a habitual way of looking at things, of reacting to them.  What 
   characterizes this attitude? 

     - love of truth, honesty, fairness and justice
     - realization that there are two sides to most arguments and 
         disagreements 
     - an attitude of impartiality and neutrality on questions 
         until the facts are known 
     - habit of listening to both sides of an argument, 
         impartially ascertaining facts of the matter before 
         passing judgment
