My relationship with God

What is the nature of my relationship with God? God is like a
benevolent father to me. I have no doubts about his love for
me. In return I love him, am loyal to him, am faithful to him.
Through my conscience and my knowledge of his word I know what
he wants and I try to do as he wants. If I were to transgress
I would be confident of his forgiveness and mercy. He is my
protector and refuge. I have faith in him. It is really all
that simple. What prompts me to act according to conscience,
to do what is right? At bottom it is my love of God. That is
the shaping force of my life.
