Promising easily, promising slowly --- two opposite personalities

   At one end of the spectrum is he who promises easily but 
   delivers little.  At the other end of the spectrum is he whose 
   word is as good as gold --- if he says he will do something you 
   can stake your life on him doing it --- but he doesn't promise 
   anything easily or carelessly.  For him a promise is a serious 
   matter, not to be made without due thought and consideration.  
   You can count on him but he won't make a commitment unless he 
   is sure he is able to deliver.  On the job this trait may be a 
   drawback for him.  Why?  Because many bosses want "yes" men who 
   will agree to their demands and wishes quickly and readily.  
   They are not happy when someone deliberates, hesitates, and 
   answers cautiously and conditionally.  They want someone who 
   will quickly say "Yes! Sure! No Problem!"
