   A world view.  A rapidly changing, evolving world --- a world 
   constantly in the throes of deep, radical, violent 
   transformation, deep constant metamorphosis --- driven by 
   thriving, turbulent science.  Man --- confused, frustrated, 
   thwarted.  Man.  Twisted, warped, perverted, angry.  Man.  
   Seeking truth, meaning and direction.  Man.  Given over to the 
   pursuit of pleasure, to hedonism.  Man.  Struggling, suffering, 
   and worn out.  Man.  Insecure, shy and afraid.
