Does one follow feelings or mind?

   Does one follow feelings or mind?  Is the simple fact that "it 
   feels good" sufficient reason to do it?  If one finds a 
   sensuous, profligate life appealing is it foolish to restrain 
   oneself?  Suppose a certain gas was very enjoyable to smell but 
   was deadly.  Does one give into the temptation of smelling it, 
   knowing that it is deadly?  Does he follow his feelings, 
   natural inclinations and desires or his mind?
